Barnstable Fire District provides fire protection, emergency medical service, public water supply and street lighting for the residents and businesses of Barnstable Village and Cummaquid. The district is governed by an elected Prudential Committee and Board of Water Commissioners. Elections are held in May each year and are open to all registered voters in the District.
